The CNSO is celebrating its 20th anniversary

The 19th season is dead. Long live the 20th. Though this might sound as a cliché the bare fact is that the orchestra I founded twenty years ago is now approaching its 20th season.

In its new season, the orchestra will celebrate the transformation into the premiere ensemble. The concert series has grown each year and the anniversary season wants to become a festival of the artists we highly respect and similarly they like collaboration with us.

Besides Maestro Libor Pešek – our Chief Conductor, we have again invited Carl Davis and Marcello Rota. Also, the 20th season will be an introduction of new personalities on our stage – the world-renowned artists Helmuth Rilling and Vince Mendoza. Among the soloists who will guest appear with the CNSO are also superb jazz musicians Randy Brecker and Bobby Shew.

We are looking forward to bring you classical concerts with the music of Mahler, Berlioz, or Händel. As well, we've got used to genre overlapping so our new concert series of course includes jazz music concerts, or The Beatles Night. Together with Carl Davis we will mark the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' debut single “Love Me Do”, released in Britain on the 5th October 1962. You will hear our heart play!

I'm really happy about all this. Such an enjoyment and success! I hope, not just for me!

Believe me, if I have enough power and if enlightened people are still willing to support us – we want to go on until the dream fifty, at least!

Please, keep your fingers crossed.
